*** DISCLAIMER – THIS BLOG IS FICTION AND THE AUTHOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF ANYONE WHO PERSISTS IN THINKING IT IS NOT FICTION ***

While I would like to say that I was sent off on some mysterious errand that I cannot talk about, my reasons for not writing for many months are much more plebeian.

My w.o.r.k. asked me to do overtime as Ofsted was due to arrive at the Education Department in the prison where I work.  Also Adele required me to do several tasks, which were quite onerous.  Adele was an ally to whom I am now Obligated to, who wanted me to arrange meetings between herself and various humans in the prison.

I have informed Andy, the Human Police Representative, of the situation.

It took a lot of explaining, but since he is favourable to me at the moment he may prove to be an ally if I am questioned by humans.

Of course, these requests were not breaking any laws, Old Vampire or Human, but are very unusual.

Andy was suspicious that Adele wants to meet prison officials; this confirmed that she is up to something, although neither Andy nor I can see what she would get out of a meeting with them.

I would enjoy naming these officials in this blog, but I am forbidden to by Adele, who is my Obligator.

There is no “getting around it” or forgetting about this injunction : Old Vampire law is clear that Obligators have to be obeyed.

I explained to Andy that we Old Vampires are used to waiting and in time we would be able to find out exactly what she was up to.

This mollified him a bit, although he retorted that he hoped it wouldn’t be too late when we did.

Unfortunately he is accurate with this statement, but there is little I can do besides watching and waiting since Adele has told me not to discuss my Obligation or any requests she makes of me to any other Old Vampires.
