Aftermath

*** DISCLAIMER – THIS BLOG IS FICTION AND THE AUTHOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF ANYONE WHO PERSISTS IN THINKING IT IS NOT FICTION ***

I am being invited to a lot more parties than usual as a result of catching the killer.

Of course, everyone knows who he is and it is common knowledge that several Old Vampires who had dealings with him were caught trying to leave the country.

The ones I advised to contact The King’s Men before The King’s Men contacted them have fared rather better, but will not be seen for some time.

Unfortunately I have had to return to w.o.r.k., so I am unable to attend as many parties as I would enjoy.

However, I am able to give the partygoers some snippets of information that do not compromise the ongoing investigation but mean that I am invited to more parties.

Of course our Ruler and his Men know I will be doing this; I would not be an Old Vampire if I were not working out how to turn a situation to my advantage.

Jane has been out quite a lot more than usual; I assume that as my servant she is also being invited to parties, but her work is being done well, so I have no complaint with her and I have already told her what she can and cannot reveal to others.

The killer, a Debutante Vampire called Michael, has finally calmed down. The King’s Men then removed him for interview.

Andy, the Human Police Representative, was grumbling as he didn’t get much chance to interview him before he was removed and hardly anything out of him.

I placated him by saying that justice would certainly be done and Michael returned to prison a bit worse for wear and more compliant with Andy as long as Andy could promise that he would be kept in a human prison.

This will certainly happen, as the Ruler has no desire to have to house such as these.
