Old Vampire Prisoners

*** DISCLAIMER – THIS BLOG IS FICTION AND THE AUTHOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF ANYONE WHO PERSISTS IN THINKING IT IS NOT FICTION ***

Prisoners who are Old Vampires tend to think that because I am an Old Vampire I will give them whatever they want whenever they want it.

They soon find that I am not corruptible and their wounds eventually heal.

Unfortunately they always find other ways of getting what they want and then I have to deal with them again.  It is a good way of working out any frustrations I have with my job.

I suppose a human would say these were harsh measures.  We are vampires and gain nothing from being kind or compassionate.

These vampires have broken the law and no other Old Vampire will have anything to do with them.

The only reason I have anything to do with them is because my work requires me to.  Otherwise I gain nothing from association and would lose if I associated with them without the reason of work.

Humans do not have the necessary strength to deal with vampires.  They need me to be present when they are moving a vampire in case of trouble.

This does not often happen, but sometimes we have the odd vampire trying to escape the punishment that was meted out to them.  I put them down so hard and fast they regret what they have done.

Some have even tried to take liberties with me.  Fortunately I am trained to deflect that sort of thing, so it is only tried once.

Then I delay their supply of blood.  Not enough to permanently adversely affect them, but enough for them to get the point.

These vampires also have the fact that they have tried to take liberties with me reported.

One report goes to their prison file; the other to The Ruler’s Men.  Even if their crime does not drop their Status to zero it will be difficult for it to survive this report.
