Drugs

*** DISCLAIMER – THIS BLOG IS FICTION AND THE AUTHOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF ANYONE WHO PERSISTS IN THINKING IT IS NOT FICTION ***

We do not bother to take drugs as we get our pleasures in more cerebral ways, but others of the non-human community do and we sell to them.

Last night Andy, the human police representative, called me away from a party with promising connections.

It turned out that one of his police had arrested Alys for dealing drugs.  A human had seen her dealing to a New Vampire and bought some drugs from her.

We are not averse to making profit from or consorting with humans, so Alys dealt with the human, who turned out to be a police officer and arrested her.

Alys meekly went along with this and when she got to the station asked for Andy who called me.

Unfortunately she had not read the letter that said I was not a servant and had the gall to expect us to turn up and with a wave of our hands make it all go away.

I took great pleasure in telling her that she had broken the laws of this land and would be sentenced as a common criminal.

At this pronouncement she turned and attacked.  Thankfully only myself and Andy were in the interview room at the time and I was easily able to protect a shaken Andy, who had not seen what a vampire of any kind can do, then subdue Alys.

I made it clear to her that all she had done was to add one charge of attacking a police officer to her sheet.  She sulkily said that the tape would show an Old Vampire and thus would never be seen by humans.

I replied that her fangs wouldn’t be visible on tape and the humans would think that her drugs had given her strength.

I have left her to Andy, as she has committed a crime.  The attack will be suppressed as we cannot put forward the interview tape as evidence, but that has left him with leverage against her.
