Decision

*** DISCLAIMER – THIS BLOG IS FICTION AND THE AUTHOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF ANYONE WHO PERSISTS IN THINKING IT IS NOT FICTION ***

I have decided to sponsor the petition of our Old Vampire Servants. The petition is to ask our Ruler to intercede for them in the matter of The Hunters killing and frightening Old Vampire Servants.

A decision like this has to be thoroughly weighted for outcomes.  I talked this over with some of my allies for advice, as they would not want me to make a decision that would render me less useful to them.

Sponsoring means that I see it is heard, but I do not present it myself.  I have already made the arrangements necessary to have the petition presented.

This has caused consternation amongst our servants as one of them will have to present it.

I have told them that it is no different from presenting your Mistress or Master with something which you want done but she or he must decide themselves.

This statement caused near apoplexy amongst the butlers asking me for my decision.

Do they not realise that we know what they are doing?  If they present something to us which they want done it nearly always should be done as they have centuries of training and good judgement.

However, we must make the final decision as our heads may literally rest on what happens.  I hear that this petition breaks with tradition which both pleases and amuses The Ruler.

He will be less amused when deluged with future petitions from which decisions have to be weighted, considered and made.

The outcome of Old Vampire Servants being able to present petitions to The Ruler does mean that they will have more power, but since it will be to do with servants’ matters I am not concerned.

All that remains now is for the Old Vampire Servants to choose a spokesperson.
