Petition

*** DISCLAIMER – THIS BLOG IS FICTION AND THE AUTHOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF ANYONE WHO PERSISTS IN THINKING IT IS NOT FICTION ***

Our Servants have asked me to present a petition to The Ruler about The Hunters.

To recap the situation : The Hunters are a group of New Vampires who are allegedly responsible for making sure that vampires do not commit crimes against humans, drinking humans being exempted from this.

They have been given powers to raid Old Vampires for any crime against humans, have done so on the thinnest of excuses and have recently started killing and terrifying Vampire Servants.

The speed and energy of which the Old Vampire Servants have got a petition together is commendable, as is their taking the idea of petitions from humans and using it.

This will be the first time that a petition has been made and brought to The Ruler and I have been asked to present it.

This has not been done before, but the current Ruler has made clear that just because something has never been done before is not a good reason to avoid doing it.  Personally I doubt this, but we must obey our Ruler.

I will have to think long and hard about this.  It falls under my duties of a Committee representative to support the petition and not carrying out my duties is unthinkable.

Even if I broke the rules and did not validate the petition no servant would work for me and if they had to serve me would do their worst.

I cannot find any reason to disagree with it.  These are valuable servants who are being maimed, terrified and killed.

An ally is easier to replace than a servant, you just look around for someone with access to the right information.  A servant takes decades of training.

The repercussions would be terrible if I didn’t present the petition and they could be terrible if I did.
