They Know

*** DISCLAIMER – THIS BLOG IS FICTION AND THE AUTHOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF ANYONE WHO PERSISTS IN THINKING IT IS NOT FICTION ***

Well, as they say, the cat is now out of the bag.  The rest of the members of The Committee have found out about this blog.

It was inevitable that they would find out at some point.  Nearly all humans use the internet, so the Human police were going to find out.

The New Vampire representative Nosferatu has known for nearly a year.  That leaves the werewolf representative.  I do not know how many of them use the internet, but since they pose as humans and have jobs, no doubt many of them use it.

The result is that all of them have read this blog.  They have not asked me any questions, but I am on the end of curious sidelong looks and strange behaviour at Committee meetings.

Nosferatu behaves as normally as he has ever done, which is not saying much; but Andy, the Human Police representative and Saskia, the Werewolf representative often pause when phrasing a sentence or question which has to do with me.

I suspect both of them would wear a cross if it would not cause offence.  As it is, they check where I am at all times.

I ignore this; to our irritation Nosferatu calls attention to their behaviour and then they lie and pretend they are not doing it.

In meetings the tension level is as high as a castle roof and it does not help Committee business.

Just because I am a vampire it does not mean I am going to kill them.  It is de rigueur for Committee members to consider killing each other, but carrying it out is not the done thing.

I only have to put up with everyone (except Nosferatu) for less than a century and Nosferatu will probably make a mistake and end up impaled by then.

Vampires seem to be the only ones who know that not even New Vampires go around killing everybody.
