Delivery

One of the Old Vampires has complained about the way I deliver blood in prison.

I was doing a bad job as I didn’t have any time to talk to the Old Vampires while delivering blood; I just gave it to them and ran.

Some of them have had their Status reduced to zero and it does not reflect well on me to associate with such as these.

I do not like talking to the prisoners.  They are criminal scum and thus beneath me, or stupid enough to have been caught in monetary fraud.

A vampire, Old or New, who does not talk to anyone on a regular basis ends up obsessed with blood.  It will be all she or he can think about.

She or he needs to be rehabilitated or when released will cut a swath through the human population and expose us to the possibility of mobs.

An Old Vampire can be in prison for centuries.  While it is easy for them to keep up with what is happening in the financial world, it is difficult for them to keep up with what is happening in the Old Vampire world.

If they came out of prison in five centuries their world would have changed.

I understand something like this happens to humans, but I find it a shocking thing to happen.

How can you rehabilitate them when they don’t know how to behave outside prison?

Before the Human Police most Old Vampires were killed once they were found out, but some were imprisoned in castle dungeons and forgotten about after fifty years or so.

Those few that returned were half-mad from torture and lack of blood due to a diet of rats.

They could not cope with picking up the pieces of their lives after centuries of imprisonment and walked into the sun.
