Too Much Work

*** DISCLAIMER – THIS BLOG IS FICTION AND THE AUTHOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF ANYONE WHO PERSISTS IN THINKING IT IS NOT FICTION ***

Work is getting worse.  I have a new boss who gives me more and more work to do.

No matter how hard I work and how much I accomplish she asks me to do more.

This is not work but slavery.  I come home absolutely exhausted and fit for nothing.  I have recently had to take several days off sick as I was too tired to do anything except lie in my coffin.

I am being worked down to the bone and find it difficult to deliver blood to the vampires in the prison.

As it is, I do it hastily and in a slapdash manner.  This is not how it should be done as we Old Vampires take our time leisurely and carefully, making sure all the t’s are crossed and i’s dotted.

My work is suffering for this because I make mistakes as I rush around trying to do all the tasks my boss has allotted me – and then she asks for more!  Is she blind?

I suffer while others laze around doing nothing.  I have never encouraged my staff to join unions, but I am now beginning to see the point of them.  Not everyone is as good an employer as I am.

I rush around trying to do it all while daydreaming of sinking my teeth into my bosses’ necks and drinking their blood.  Instead of which, I cut corners where I can.

In this modern world there are no prizes for being good and toeing the line at work.

If I cared about my work and was human I would have had a nervous breakdown by now.

The only good thing to come out of this is that I am unable to carry out Adele’s latest demands for information.

If it were not for the fact that I needed money I would walk out of this travesty of a job and end this appalling nightmare that I’m working in.
