Thrills

*** DISCLAIMER – THIS BLOG IS FICTION AND THE AUTHOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF ANYONE WHO PERSISTS IN THINKING IT IS NOT FICTION ***

A lot of Old Vampires fence for thrills.  Our fences are done with wooden swords so there is possibility of injury or death if the heart is pierced.  Skiing is another pastime we enjoy, but there must be trees on the course.

When I had money, gambling used to be my thrill.  I was betting everything on the turn of a card or roll of the dice and I now admit that more often than not it did not go my way.  Due to my gambling addiction I must now avoid cards and dice.

We get our thrills from the hunt and the chase.  We used to be able to literally stalk people; showing up at their houses or on the street corner and disappearing in the blink of an eye when approached.

We were the reason the laws on stalking were put into place.  Instead of stopping us, it makes it much more fun.

It’s a challenge to stalk someone on the street, totally unseen by the prey but have enough of a presence so that she or he knows that someone is watching her or him.

If we are seen, we get a court order slapped on us and merely move to other prey.

Alcohol has no effect on vampires.  When we become vampires there are enzymes in the blood we receive which neutralise its effects.

Many of us have also tried human drugs, which do not affect us.  This is just as well, as a vampire on a roid rage would be a terrible sight to behold.

The drugs would take away her or his normal checks and balances and you would get one vampire literally ripping through her or his country.

In the past, the lack of thrills in everyday life has led some vampires to be careless and end up with a mob at their door.

Nowadays the world is a much safer world and we do not have to worry about mobs.
