Back to Work

After the glorious weeks of preparing, having the fence and being on holiday I am back at work.

My work involves processing papers, moving a stack from one pile to the next, then processing and filing them.

It’s an unimportant, bland job with no promotion and no-one under me.  I am used to asking people to do things and having them attend to them now.  Now I am ordered about like a common chattel.

Here I can be ignored by my colleagues; my managers do nothing when I complain to them.  Then again, it seems that they can barely do their own job.

My boss keeps saying things are important, but she means it’s important to her and not to me.

The only important role I am here to fulfil in this prison is making sure people get blood to drink, otherwise humans will die.

The bitches I work with have shut me out of things.  They routinely don’t tell me things, papers go missing from my desk and despite being an Administrator I am not allowed access to the stationery cupboard.

I am used to a castle and a house which run like clockwork.  Instead this Education Department does not function.

New teachers are not told crucial facts, often do not have courses set up for them and when they do are dropped in at the deep end and left to sink or swim.

In this prison things go wrong constantly because people do not check things.

They put students onto courses which they haven’t applied for.  Then the students don’t get certificates because the teachers haven’t sent off for them for one reason or another.

It’s an absolute shambles of a department and if I were in charge things would be different.
