History of The Hunters

The Hunters date back to the early 20th century.  According to my sources, it all started when three New Vampires united to manage other New Vampires.

Old Vampires were then killing New Vampires on the pretext that they were causing trouble and exposing us.

The Hunters dealt with the problem of exposure so we Old Vampires did not have that excuse.

They also founded The Committee, which is one of the reasons why New Vampires take it so seriously and for we Old Vampires it is little more than a joke.

The first New Vampire representative was their proxy.  My sources say he left The Committee because of some of their so-called politics.

Their current representative Nosferatu is less of a tool for The Hunters.

It was not until twenty years ago that we started hearing rumours about The Hunters.

We usually have as little to do with New Vampires as possible, so it took a while for the rumours to reach us.

New Vampires who decided to become Old Vampire servants told us stories of disappearances and New Vampires who were not the same.

Some gibbered after returning from The Hunters.  Some were missing body parts.  Some gave themselves to the Human Police, confessing to deeds that they never could have done.

This drove some New Vampires to become Vampire Servants, knowing that we Old Vampires could protect them.

Now The Hunters have gained jurisdiction over Old Vampires there will be no stopping them.

If we, who have centuries of knowledge and experience cannot call a halt to The Hunters’ activities, who can?

Debutante Vampires before Dracula came out, vampires who had been newly turned vampire were taught the rules of society.  They then “came out” when they were deemed presentable to vampire society as debutantes.  They are the only Old Vampires who have a zero level of Status and are acceptable.
