We Old Vampires make the best hunters.  We have the strength and swiftness to take down prey, however fast they run.

The Old Vampires who prefer chasing to stalking say that prey tastes better when it runs.

Some just stalk and wait in the shadows for the prey to make the move that will enable them to be taken down.

I agree that the taste is so much better when the prey runs, but I use a mixture of the two methods because I have more fun stalking prey, ascertaining when they go where.

There have been times when I have been so thirsty that I have not had the leisure to stalk prey and have had to hunt them without stalking, which I detest.

While it’s time-consuming to stalk prey, in the past it has helped stop mobs forming.

If you can choose where and when to take your prey out, you can usually make it look like an accident by blaming it on another person or human, depending on which is the most advantageous at the time.

Stalking is like a human taking the time to make a meal from scratch, whereas pure hunting is fast food.

How fast depends on how good the prey is at running.  I have always enjoyed making them run around in circles for hours until they drop.

It’s much more difficult to achieve this today, as most humans now live in cities, and unlike American cities, British cities do not have many circles or blocks.

Hunting today poses more of a challenge.  There are more places where humans can hide and try to throw us off the scent.  This usually does not work, as we have a good sense of smell.

If you have first stalked the prey, you know exactly where it will return to.

I really like the way your compare hunting to fast food, it really shows depth of character and grounds the character in the world.
