Prison

*** DISCLAIMER – THIS BLOG IS FICTION AND THE AUTHOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE ACTION OF ANYONE WHO PERSISTS IN THINKING IT IS NOT FICTION ***

For vampires it is a stigma to have been in prison.  Vampires who have been in prison usually say they’ve been staying abroad, when they return from The Hunters.

We let the lie go, even if it is an obvious one, with one exception; which is if they have committed a sex crime.  If it is an Old Vampire who has committed a sex crime, the word goes out and everyone will shun him or her.

These shunned Old Vampires are seen for a few weeks after their release and then they are never seen ever again.  It is not worth even lifting a finger to find out about them.

My New Vampire contact tells me that most New Vampires shun people who have committed sex crimes, but New Vampires do not keep in touch to the extent that we do and the shunning may not reach some New Vampires.

When an Old Vampire is released from The Hunters for a sex crime I make one call to put the word out.  That person will call others and the word will rapidly spread over the globe in the course of a week.

A New Vampire may know only one or two other New Vampires, while some New Vampires may have disappeared out of sight for various reasons.

Reading between the lines of what my contact said, some may be stumbling along trying to make sense of it all.  It’s an absolutely disgusting state of affairs.

We Old Vampires properly keep track of other Old Vampires.  You never know when you may be called on for help and assistance, or when you will need help and assistance.

For any vampire to leave another vampire floundering around by themselves, even when that vampire is a New Vampire, is quite beyond the pale.  I have no recollection of this ever happening as any Old Vampire who did this would find themselves shunned.
