Werewolves

*** DISCLAIMER – THIS BLOG IS FICTION AND THE AUTHOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR THE ACTION OF ANYONE WHO PERSISTS IN THINKING IT IS NOT FICTION ***

As I have said before, werewolves are not too bright.  They are good at survival, quick on the uptake and manage to survive between Old and New Vampires.

Werewolves manage to co-exist with Humans because they do not turn wolf until the full moon’s beams are on them.

If it is the full moon and the beams are not on them, then they can choose whether to go wolf or go human.

Even in human shape the full moon seems to bring the wolf out in them.  We try to avoid having meetings on the full moon, but last year it was unavoidable for one meeting.

The Werewolf Liaison was distracted for most of the meeting; twice trying to scratch her ear with her leg, unbalancing and falling off the chair.

At one point she tried to jump on the table from a sitting position.  Doable when you are a wolf, but when in human shape you crash into the side of the table and end up in a heap on the floor.

Myself and the other representatives did not dare look at one another for most of the meeting in case we laughed.

The stories of werewolves savaging humans are those few who have “gone rogue” as they call it.

Most werewolves manage not to savage humans, although the ones in prison certainly are not harmless beasts.

We don’t get many details of werewolves at the meetings, except about those who have gone rogue or broken Human laws.

I used to see werewolves as merely animals.  They’re brighter and more intelligent than that, but there is a lot of the animal in them.  A tame werewolf is liveable with, but I see what the wild ones in prison are like.  When they’re bad they’re very, very bad.

Glossary

Debutante Vampires before Dracula came out, vampires who had been newly turned vampire were taught the rules of society.  They then “came out” when they were deemed presentable to vampire society as debutantes.

New Vampires vampires who do not want to be Old Vampires, often live as Goths and hold down jobs.  This started after Dracula came out.

Old Vampires vampires who are polite society.  Either turned vampire before Dracula came out or were turned after by an Old Vampire and decided to join the Old Vampires.

Parent the vampire who brought you up (if you are an Old Vampire) in polite society
